Kylie Bisutti, a former Victoria Secret model, has put together a lovely short, 30-day devotional for girls on how to focus on transforming your inner beauty, instead of superficial outer beauty, to “transform your heart, your body, your mind, and your soul and put you on the path to becoming a happier, healthier, more beautiful you.”
Each day’s passage begins with a Bible verse, offers a few paragraphs from Kylie’s life about that day’s subject, and then offers a few questions to ponder as well as a “true beauty tip.”
Kylie really reiterates there are so many traits we each have that are worthy and important and valued, even more so than outward beauty. “30 Days” teaches us that the only way to define ourselves is through God and His love for us, and that women need to value modesty.
Some of her encouraging “true beauty tips” include: “Live to please God, not people;” “God knows and loves the real you;” “God’s forgiveness makes you ‘good enough’;” and “We can find joy in doing what’s right.”
“30 Days” is appropriate for girls who are late pre-teen and older, all the way through adulthood. It’s a great devotional for girls and women who are busy and on the go, as each day’s passage only takes a few minutes to read. And the book is quite small, so it will easily fit into a purse or book bag.
Five stars out of five.
