Baby Gerald is feeling excited about the Bills 2015 schedule -- a game in London, TWO primetime games! Go Bills!
“(My dad) would tell me to pray about it and then wait on God’s timing. He’d remind me of the Scripture about how with God all things are possible.” Twenty-four-year-old Katie Fisher has gotten herself into a real pickle — a pickle that quickly spins out of control. Thinking she’s on the brink of getting engaged to long-time boyfriend, Casey, Katie enters and wins a contest where she’ll receive a wedding gown specially designed for her which will then be featured on the cover of Texas Bride magazine. Janice Thompson’s “Every Bride Needs a Groom” takes us on a fun and at times wacky journey as Katie must decide how honest to be with the bridal shop employees when Casey breaks up with her to take a job in Oklahoma — far from their small town home in Fairfield, Texas. And as Katie grows closer and closer to the shop owner and designer’s son, professional basketball player Brady James, Katie must decide what she truly wants from life. “Every Bride” is full of awesome characters, including the lovable Fisher family with Katie and her immediate family, Grandma Queenie and Great-Aunt Alva, cousin Lori-Lou and her three rambunctious children, and the employees at Cosmopolitan Bridal. We also meet up with some characters from her prior series in some minor roles. Thompson writes a great story with some laugh-out-loud moments. She weaves a tale about overcoming bitterness, seeking and giving forgiveness, determining true priorities, and waiting for God’s timing. I know the “Brides with Style” series is going to be packed full of fun, but with lots of great lessons. I can’t wait for the next one! Five stars out of five.
