Day 15 - At Sea
1.20.11 - Today is our last full day on the ship, and it's at sea, heading to Los Angeles, California. So sad!
We had the buffet breakfast at Parrot Cay this morning and then went to a Q&A session with the ship's Captain, Captain Henry, and several of the top officers.
After lunch at Beach Blanket Buffet, we spent the afternoon trying to pack 2 weeks of living!
Tonight we had our final dinner at Parrot Cay, which is where we'll also have breakfast in the morning to get our disembarkation group assignment. We both had romaine leaves with caesar dressing and I had an artichoke/spinach cheese dip with pita chips. Barkley had oven-roasted chicken for dinner, and I had the yachtsman steakhouse centercut grilled beef tenderloin with a pear-shaped potato. For dessert ... baked Alaska!
The servers had their parade of nations to send us off.
The show tonight was "Remember the Magic" with a ventriloquist and musician/comedian (who sang "I have the cleanest hands ... in the world" to the "He's got the whole worlds, in his hands" tune) ... kind of a joke about how everywhere you go on the ship you are given sanitary wipes or spray or whatever to wipe down your hands. Very funny!
On Jan. 21, we pulled in to the port of Los Angeles, where we disembarked quite easily and headed to LAX, Washington/Dulles and the very brutally cold Western New York!
What an amazing amazing trip! We truly loved it and had an amazing time!
