Filled with intriguing characters and keep-you-guessing plot lines, “Annabel Lee” tells the story of a little girl being hunted from the points of view of three characters: 11-year-old Annabel, private investigator Trudi and The Mute, a mysterious ex-Special Forces who works for her uncle.
Annabel is a special girl with a knack for languages being raised by her “Uncle Truck.” One night he rushes her into a secret underground bunker, with the command to open the door for no one without their special code. What follows is a crazy, amazing story as Trudi and her ex-husband, Sam, get pulled into helping The Mute locate and rescue Annabel, all while a mercenary group is also hunting down the girl with special traits.
Joined by several interesting characters, Annabel is a strong, precocious young girl you will fall in love with, as well as Dog, a German Shepherd Truck leaves to protect her. The book will take you on a great, thrilling ride, as the characters must dig deep into themselves for strength. Some characters will also go on a bit of a spiritual ride as they must decide what role God has in their lives.
Nappa gives “Annabel Lee” a shocking and incredible ending — one you will never see coming — as you learn the secret to Annabel and her powers!
I for one am glad Nappa finally journeyed into the realm of novelist, and cannot wait to read the next installment, “The Raven.” Fans of Mike Dellosso, Robert Liparulo, Alton Gansky, Tom Pawlik, Frank Peretti and Ted Dekker will love this book.
Five stars out of five.
