1.7.11 - Today we were supposed to stop at Disney's Castaway Cay island in the Bahamas. But unfortunately the water was too rough, and it was too dangerous to dock. Oh well. It was a bit of a disppointment, but at least we've been there in the past. Plus it was still a bit cool, so it would probably have been too cold to swim anyways.
So it was a pretty lowkey day. We did a mile walk around the Promenade Lounge. We also watched a couple of movies in the Buena Vista Theatre, including the new "Tangled" in 3D .. a retelling of Rapunzel. Very cute!
Dinner was at Animator's Palate tonight with the Taste of the Caribbean menu. Barkley had plain oven-roasted chicken. I had tossed field greens "Dominique" with a banana bread crouton and hand-cut caramelized delmonico rib steak with broccoli.
Tonight in our state room we received a special lithograph commemorating the Panama Canal crossing by Don "Ducky" Williams. He's the senior character illustrator at Disney World, primarily for marketing purposes.
