“You’ll do great things if you let our great God work through you. Never be afraid to go where He leads.”
Cousins Beth and Patrick take an accidental trip in the Imagination Station at Whit’s End, landing on a British ship near the island of Fiji. Missionary James Calvert is also aboard, hoping to reach out to the cannibals who not only live on Fiji, but are dead set on killing the Christians who also live there.
Patrick finds himself falling overboard during a massive storm, and Beth joins a rescue party, which includes Calvert, to find Patrick and Surgeon’s Mate Newland Nettleton who also went overboard.
Will Calvert be able to convince Toki, the cannibal king, to turn to God? Or will Toki continue to reject God and kill all those from the British ship?
“Battle for Cannibal Island” teaches lessons on bravery, conquering storms in life, and becoming dead to our old lives and becoming alive in Christ. It reminds us that “The faithful man will always find help in times of trouble.”
This is a tale from the Adventures in Odyssey series, featuring strong moral tales and exciting action. The “Imagination Station” series is appropriate for children ages 7 and older.
Five stars out of five.
